Get to Know Us

Alera Home Health is a Southeastern Pennsylvania provider of home-based care proudly serving clients in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Chester and Delaware counties. When it comes to caring for you, we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to your health. We customize our plans of care to match each client’s unique needs, and our caregivers are carefully selected through a ranking system of multiple criteria.

Our AleraCare team has over 100 years of healthcare experience, ensuring a quality and proactive care approach within the safety and comfort of your own home. At Alera Home Health, we are committed to consistent care across all care levels, and will be your biggest ally during your healthcare journey. Through our AleraCare model, we aim to focus on chronic conditions that may lead to frequent hospitalizations and diminish quality of life. With the help of our Care team,  we will help provide the tools to better manage your condition and mitigate exacerbations. Our aging population is at a higher risk for falls due to changes in vision, hearing, balance and mobility. Alera Home Health helps reduce these risks and debilitating injuries by providing the assistance needed in an environment they know well.

The AleraCare model is patient-centered, and helps our clients:

  • Remain in their home
  • Maintain their chosen lifestyle
  • Have confidence they will receive treatment with respect and kindness

Our Caregivers

We Carefully Screen & Hire All of Our Caregivers
Our caregivers are W2 employees, not contractors. We conduct criminal background checks and verify employment references. We also do a deep dive during our interview process. This helps us check for non-teachable qualities such as kindness, honesty, compassion and conscientiousness. Alera will go the extra mile to ensure our teammates are the right fit for our patients.

If you don’t want to deal with the liabilities of hiring a private caregiver, let us do the hiring, training, supervising and paying of your caregiver. On top of that, we provide insurance coverage to cover any damages our caregivers might inadvertently cause in your home. We take all the risk — so you can focus on the Caregivers taking good care of you or your loved one

We’re committed to providing the HIGHEST quality care!

We pride ourselves in hiring people for their compassion, experience, and flexibility. But we know this isn’t all it takes to provide the best care possible. Caregivers also need excellent skills and competency in care — and that comes from excellent training.

Why does training matter?

  • Trained caregivers provide the highest quality of care to you or your loved one
  • Trained caregivers know how to recognize when medical care is needed
  • Trained caregivers can help their clients avoid injury around the home

A caregiver who is specifically trained in his or her job will provide a consistent, higher level of quality care.
